Saberhagen created this serie to retold the Bram Stoker story from  Dracula’s point of view. The vampires in his serie are depicted as being capable of both good and evil
He was later hired to  write the novelization of the 1992 movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula due to the success of this serie.
